Ladies and Germs, meet Raw Fotography!

On Me: Dress: Rebecca Taylor, Leather belt: Stefanel, Shoes: Tracy Reese
On Patty: Dress: Milly, Shoes: Reiss

Cousin, your peplum belt reminded me of this leather, cummerbund-esk, belt I bought about ten years ago while I was studying abroad.  I have worn it with many different outfits and this time, I paired it with a simple but timeless black dress.   It added the perfect amount of spunk.
More importantly, I wanted to tell you all about Raw Fotography!  The founders, Lenny and Eric, came to the apt with all their fancy lighting and camera gear and took some amazing pictures for our blog.  I am calling it now.... their love of photography is going to grow into something amazing and can't wait to see how their work evolves.  Check them out!
Also, how sick are Patty's shoes?  For someone who doesn't like to take pictures, I think she looks gorg!
Lenny, Eric, Patty:  Thank you for putting up with me!  I hope you love the post...

Lace First Leather Next

Lace Top: ASOS, Vest: ASOS, Skirt: Alexander Wang, Boots: Zara
Photography by BShim of Bashful Captures

Cousin, you look like a sophisticated lady in your posts and I look like a little girl playing dress up! BAH!
I see you are mixing leather and lace and wanted to show you how I have been combining something as delicate as lace with something a bit more rough like jagged rhinestones.  Zara and H&M are great for affordable pieces and wanted to add ASOS to that list.  Both tops are from ASOS and didn't even dent the wallet.  Thank goodness.
Stay tuned for my leather look!  Remember my friend Lenny?  Well, he teamed up with his pal Eric and created RAW Fotography.  Can't wait to show you our photoshoot!  Pretty awesome!

Leather + Lace

Top: Gucci (vintage). Skirt: Zara (similar here). Belt: H&M (old). Shoes: Christian Louboutin. Photography: Steph Wells

Ever since I saw this high-waisted leather skirt by Valentino on Chanel Iman, I've searched high and low to recreate it with affordable pieces.  Thanks to the frugally-minded designers at Zara and H&M, I combined their faux leather pencil skirt and peplum leather belt for $75!  How close did I get?

Happy Monday! Linda

P.S. I'm loving that skull tee that you paired with your camo jacket.  So whimsical!

The Non Military Camo Look

Jacket: byCorpus, Shirt: Scanty, Hat: Own, Scarf: Elizabeth Gillett, Jeans: True Religion

I thought those yellow sandals were hinting that spring wasn't too far away!  Sorry you are beginning to freeze like how I am in NYC.
I forgot how versatile camo can be and glad the look isn't for just the army. To be honest, it isn't my favorite pattern but love seeing how other fashion bloggers are working this look.
Btw, how cold do I look in these pictures?
Love, Jean

Weekend Camo

Sweater: Zara. Pants: Zara. Sandals: Alexander Wang. Sunglasses: Alexander McQueen. Photography: Jim Lee

Diesel isn't a brand that I associate with high fashion (actually, what comes to mind is Bridge and Tunnel) but I'm definitely feeling the leather, studs and denim that they sent down the runway at NYFW.

Ugh, our spring-like weather in already a distant memory.  Fortunately, I got to take my new yellow sandals (paired with camo pants) for a spin before winter reared its ugly head back in SF.

Happy President's Day! Linda
